Dear Mr. Mustermann,

I am writing in response to your job advertisement on “ProZ.com” as I would like to apply for the position of the Spanish business interpreter in Germany.

Due to the fact that I am studying International Business with Spanish as my language option, it would be advantageous to utilise my foreign language abilities in a business environment. It is also very exciting and a great opportunity to put theory into practise when using my language skills in Spanish in business sessions and during presentations which is of great importance particularly for a business student. After my studies I would like to pursue a career as an interpreter for companies and organisations.

I do meet the requirements to be efficient in the position of a Spanish interpreter in Germany due to the fact that I have been studying Spanish for more than four years in higher education. Furthermore, I have been brought up speaking German amongst other languages. In addition to that, I was living in Germany for 21 years hence have a somewhat thorough understanding of the German culture. As I have mentioned before, I am studying International Business. Therefore one can assume that I am capable of exhibiting communication skills such as presentation skills alongside with organisational skills. I believe that these skills are of great advantage when pursuing a career as an interpreter for businesses.

Please find enclosed a copy of my Curriculum Vitae.
I would be honoured if you would consider my application favourably and I am looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Yours sincerely,

(Asad Javid)
