We are looking for 4 interpreters for a conference in Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany next year. Simultaneous interpreters are needed for French, Spanish (European), German and Italian. No specific knowledge background is required.

This is going to be a 3-weeks event, with 4 hours of general sessions and presentations on each day.

Due to the fact that I am studying International Business with Spanish as my language option, it would be advantageous to utilise my foreign language abilities in a business environment. Therefore one can assume that I am capable of exhibiting communication skills such as presentation skills alongside with organisational skills. BLOGTASK SEMANA II: A Travel Guide For Barcelona

Barcelona, the capital of Catalonia, is a coastal city located in the northeast of Spain.

You can enjoy the various beaches in Barcelona throughout the year because the climate is Mediterranean with temperatures around 20 degrees. Summer is the best time to visit Barcelona when temperatures rise up to around 30 degrees and restaurants, bars and beaches are filled with people.

On the one hand, Barcelona is cosmopolitan, modern and dynamic but on the other hand the city has many influences from the medieval and gothic period. The history of Barcelona can be discovered in “El Barrio Gótico”, a district with buildings of medieval architecture.

Barcelona is also well known as the capital of modernism, particularly inspired by architect Antoni Gaudí who as constructed architectural masterpieces such as “La Casa Milà”, “El Parque Güell” and Barcelona’s emblem “La Sagrada Familia”, a great Catholic church that has been under construction since 1882.

Another place to visit in Barcelona is the promenade “Las Ramblas” where you will not only find cafés, restaurants and bars but also artists, caricaturists, jugglers and singers. “!Todo el mundo se encuentra en Las Ramblas!”

As I am a passionate fan of FC Barcelona, it would be inevitable for me to visit the “Camp Nou”, home of FC Barcelona and one of the biggest football stadiums in the world with a capacity of approximately 100.000 people.

Hi Blogreader!

My name is Asad and I am 23 years old. I’m studying “International Business with Spanish” at the “University of Westminster” in London, but currently I am doing an “Erasmus” programme and therefore spending a year abroad at the “Universidad de Alicante”. Before commencing my studies in London, I have been living in Germany for 21 years. These multinational experiences also reflect my identity as I was born in London, but grown up in Germany until I moved to London. In addition to that I have Kenyan, Indian and Pakistani ancestry in my family.

As you may conclude, I am very interested in different cultures and travelling in particular is a great passion of mine hence one of the modules I have chosen at the “Universidad de Alicante” is called “Inglés del Turismo” and creating this blog is part of my assessment.
